Our Mission

It is our mission to provide direct services and support to breast cancer patients, as well as patients with other women’s cancers, to present educational programs and outreaches within the community, and to encourage scientific and environmental research.

IBCC offers various services through our “Lend a Helping Hand” “Carry On” and “Can Survive” Programs. The services are facilitated and paid for by our organization.

IBCC aims to educate our communities about possible risks and concerns for breast cancer and other women’s cancers. We conduct educational seminars, as well as provide educational materials at community fairs.

IBCC supports research, in breast cancer and other women’s cancers, and Legislation to increase funding for research.

Our Focus

The IBCC provides support to women and their families throughout our community during their treatments

Education

At Islip Breast Cancer Coalition, we are dedicated to educating women about breast and other women's cancers. Our mission is to provide valuable information on prevention, early detection, and treatment options. Through our resources and programs, we aim to empower women to take charge of their breast health and make informed decisions.

Health

Women's health includes physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Breast cancer is a major concern for women, as it is the most common cancer worldwide. Women must be vigilant about their breast health, performing regular self-exams and scheduling routine mammograms for early detection and better outcomes.

Community

With the support of our community, we stand by women battling breast cancer, offering support through events and online forums. We provide a platform to share experiences, access resources, and connect with others, reducing isolation and providing both emotional and practical support. This helps raise awareness and empowers women.

Take Action

Volunteer your energy, talents and resources to bring inspiration and hope to those who need it.
